I just got like $400 of legos for $100 there because they're idiots.
I can't wait to have kids so I can start buying Lego.
I thought that and then realized how fucking expensive legos are and actively tired to keep them away from my kids for years. Once they discovered them I have been forced to buy them like crazy
He returned the one with the black family and they over credited his account by 400%.
ha ha. Nice.
Kinda mismarked. Since the associates dont give a shit about their stores, when they are taking something out of the regular set and moving to the clearance area, they pay no mind to where they set it. Sometimes they put them over shelf tags intended for other items. In Michigan, they are obligated to sell it for that price or subject to heavy fines if I were to file a claim. So I simply ask them if they want to sell me one each at those prices, or all of them. They always pick one...
So the best I did was a $75 set for $5. For the most part I get $50--$70 sets for about $10-$15.

Massachusetts has similar laws, from what I understand. But what's to stop people from moving items to the wrong spots?

fear of being charged with retail fraud.
It's why i wont touch a single item I am about to dispute, so that if they decide to review their cameras, there wont be ANY appearance of dishonesty. Also, they know you didnt move 5-10 deep on a shelf. If it was 1, they might have an argument.
And realistically, walmart management knows their employees dont give a fuck, so they generally give in pretty quickly.

People used to do that at the store all the time at Harvard (i.e., pull an item from the clearance rack that wasn't marked down), and I used to just laugh in their faces. Glad nobody ever took it any further!

To make this clear, I ONLY will do this at Wal-Mart, because their associates and managers dont give a fuck... why should I?

Stop N Shop used to have this policy where if something was marked incorrectly, it was free. Things in the bakery were marked incorrectly alllllll the time.
