Hope they’re gonna be ok Anders. Scary scary stuff.

Good thread and read on growing insurgence within Russia.

A friend of their son picked them up in a rowing boat, and took them to a high-rise building, where they will stay with a friend of theirs on the 15th floor. At least safe from drowning.

Unimaginable. Abandoning your house. I'm sorry for everyone.

Good luck and maybe quick relief to one and all.

There is no running water now, and the family they are staying with have limited supplies of food and water.

Ukraine has lost like what, 10 percent of the M2 Bradleys donated?

What's the game plan for a negotiated end of the conflict? Ukraine and their supporters are publicly maximalist, but is there any chance Russia will agree to Feb 2022 borders with some useless assurances? Russias publicly stated goals (denazification, demilitarization) are sufficiently unclear to give them some flexibility should they chose so, but they keep going insane in their rhetoric, so it's impossible to know what they would find acceptable.

Russia will run out of poorly equiped mobiks far later than Ukraine runs out of freshly trained recruits supposedly trained in combined arms in NATO facilities.

Hopefully the Ukrainians will be successful, but if not, I don't know if anyone has reasonable plans for that eventuality.

Putin will die eventually, and Russia will pull out.

Ukraine did not and will not agree to Feb 2022 borders, and neither it seems will Russia.
