The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
There is still a nuclear power station under Russian control. This could get a lot worse, which is why it's so important to push for peace now even if it means giving some territory.

Agree that it can get worse, but would you give up a large part of the USA, to avoid war with Russia? That’s after more than 100.000 dead, multiple war crimes, rapes and torture, millions on the run, numerous bombings across the country. This after an unprovoked war (unless you buy into the NATO growing as a threat, or Russian lies about the pre-war situation in the Donbas). Why would you now trust the Russian regime? Even today after them destroying the dam? What would you give them? What wouldn’t you give them?

Russia is holding a nuclear reactor hostage
there are more solutions available than just ‘lets negotiate for peace’

If you count soldiers it's like 350,000 dead. Generations lost. At some point the question of compromise must be raised, but I don't have answers to your questions and I cannot imagine what the UKR's people must be thinking after this horrible new crime against them, I can only worry what will come next if there is no strategy that prioritizes peace above retribution.

What of Russias demands have been explicit? The Ukrainians offered "Never Join NATO".
What does de-militarize and de-Nazify mean? Does the SPLC define what organizations are "Nazi affiliated"?
Maybe there's terms out there that we don't know about, but Russia has not publicly reversed from it's maximalist demands.
At first they are putting everything they can't move out of the house, into the second floor, and what is necessary to survive if they have to flee, they are putting in their car. That is what I was told. I think they don't know how bad it will get, and are still considering what further action is best.
They didn't make it out in time. Their car, first floor and everything else at that level, is now under water. They are in their second floor now, still unhurt, but stuck. They are in the Russian-controlled area.
They have taken food and water to the second floor, but their kitchen and usual storage for food is downstairs. The water from the river/flood is still rising. At another family they know, the water has already reached the second floor.
