The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
Thank you. I hope so too. Will be difficult for Ukraine to cross the river though. Most bridges have been destroyed. Important for Ukraine now to take Kherson City, and then we'll see.
Civilians providing coordinates to combatants are no longer civilians. I am sure the Russians are being excessive, but we did similar shit in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Russia is desperate and insane, so this conflict might have happened regardless, but maybe if we hadn't burned our credibility in Iraq we could get more of the global south to join us in censuring Russia.

When I put my foil hat on, it strikes me as a good time to get some Russians to detonate a nuke in Ukraine to get China to drop their support of Putin/Russia.

China will never drop support of Russia, Russia contains 1/3 of the world's remaining raw materials needed for a carbon-free economy and will replace Australia as their rare earth provider... but they might encourage Putin to not be alive anymore if things get too bad.
My guess is that the only thing holding Russia back from negotiating was the chance the red team would win the government and cut off aid to UKR.

Yes, although yesterday images were released that Russia has been building new trenches on the border between the Kherson and Crimea regions, probably in preparation for having to pull completely out of the Kherson region.
Most experts think they will hold on to the south/east side of the river for now.

My sister in law’s parents live in Oleshky, so the coming months will be scary for them. They have heard talks of the Russians wanting to move the population to Crimea or Russia, but they want to stay in their house. The city is packed full of Russians.
