Could be that giving a company libertarian-level freedoms and also revoking that freedom because you wanna cancel culture them are both bad ideas.

Reedy Creek has an annual budget of $355 million, and $977 million of debt. It includes a building department, a fire department and it runs its own utilities.
According to state law, if Reedy Creek is dissolved, both its assets and liabilities would be transferred to local governments surrounding the district. That means Lake Buena Vista and Bay Lake — two cities with a combined population of fewer than 100 people — and Osceola and Orange counties could be left to assume all of Reedy Creek’s responsibilities.

That's a better annual budget to debt ratio than the federal government has. *shrug*

What's so hard about a teacher just saying that's something you should talk about with your parents when you get home today?
I don't expect teachers to solve this problem of "I'm not sure if I'm a boy or a girl," but I want them to acknowledge that it's normal to have those thoughts and suggest the parent or the counselor as a person who can help with that.
I think Psaki's trying to frame the GOP law into something she can mock, but I doubt there's anything there to keep someone from answering a direct question from a kid.
With my kids, I don't usually frame things as "you can be gay" or "you can be trans." We just talk about the fact that there are gay people and there are trans people and that's just how people roll. If my kids start questioning, they know they're getting support from home.
Here's a standard conversation.
Little B: "Dad, why was that man dressed up like a woman." B: "I'm not sure. Some people do that." Little B: "OK."
I doubt he'll grow up to be a transwoman who fucks Black men to make up for systemic racism, but I guess it takes all types.
I don't remember how this post started.

Right, so they should just tell kids to go ask their parents.

I believe a previous draft of my post started with the word, "yes."

They definitely think they're smart. This is why Verb needs to be perma-banned. He's not just a piece of shit himself, his presence makes Bammer & Mac into worse posters too.
I'll make my own shitty posts without verb’s help thank you very much!

Been saving that one for a slow day, huh?
Nope. Just realized that the kids have the day off school tomorrow and I was trying to find something for them to do and came across the B&GC, and the thought occurred to me that the name of the organization is pretty oppressive and insensitive.

Did you actually do an internet search for things your kids could do and come across this? I’m suspicious.

Please calm down.
We’ve had them at BGC over winter break and other occasional school days off. This one snuck up on us, nothing planned so I went to see if they had any spots open. And in the process I thought to myself about the name. I give it 2 years until the name changes.
