The "fact checks" around this are high comedy.

"They won't all be auditors! Many will be support staff for the auditors!"

"Biden said they won't go after middle class or political enemies (something the IRS has already done), but only go after the wealthy! Crazed conspiracy theory deboonked!"

"Sure a report said they could use the money to hire that many people, but it's not set in stone!"

"Source: trust me, bro."

The Department of Homeland Security will only be used to protect us from Middle Eastern Terrorists!

The Patriot Act keeps us safe!

We're only going to use the IRS to go after the uber-rich!

He keeps getting these wins, but after looking at the latest polls, etc., there's improvement, but I still don't see the House going to the Dems. The Senate, yes, but not the House.

Which means impeachment, but no removal from office.

And maybe some Supreme Court fun.

These asshats aside, I’m not onboard with this loan forgiveness shit. It doesn’t punish those who play by the rules, but it sends the message that hard work and personal responsibility are admirable but kind of dumb.
That’s why kids in school make fun of “try-hards” for “doing the most.”

I can’t. I have bills to pay. I have home improvement loans. I don’t expect someone else to pay them for me.

No. I took college loans out when I was 18. I wasn’t manipulated. My teachers, parents, family friends, and lenders told me I’d have to pay them back. It was very clear that a loan was not a grant or a scholarship. I think college tuition fees are a crime; however, that is a different issue.

Lots of people do feel manipulated though, because they were the subjects of a multi billion dollar industry specifically designed to get them to take out large amounts of money when they were very young in order to get the degree that they were told from birth was necessary to live a decent life.

I agree that making state schools tuition free again is the better solution.

Reverse Griggs vs. Duke Energy and maybe we won't use Bachelor's degrees as a default employment qualification and fewer people would need to go to college.
