The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
Given the shockingly large span of policies, behaviors, and individuals that the Right labels as socialism, I guess so.
Exactly. It's whatever makes the argument you are advancing at that moment seem minimally coherent.

Socialism has a definition and a national organization, here and in other countries, so, my joke aside, I don't know why my argument that BLA is not a centralized organization would be incoherent.

A lot like those throwing out the terms fascist or Nazi. Same coin for sure.
I will grant that a lot of folks on the left use fascist with more or less zero ability to distinguish that from conservative, authoritarian, etc. This isn't to say that some of the things we're seeing are not proto-fascist (the rise of street violence and armed civilians operating as para-state institutions was integral to every fascist regime) but it's thrown around pretty wantonly. Curfews are not, in themselves, fascist.

Tears in my eyes thinking about my great grandkids having this uploaded to their neuroLink when they reach the American history portion of programming.

I don't eat imitation maple syrup but was buying some at the store the other day for a friend. Seeing the Aunt Jemima branding was off putting to me.
Of course I've been reading about companies rebranding their products recently. There's all kinds of stupid marketing out there. I read about it and didn't really think of it again. I'm more of a store brand guy myself anyway.
But then I undoubtedly had a negative reaction to one of those products when I saw it in person on the grocery store shelf.
