To address the first post in this thread, I do believe that Romney absolutely wants to be president, and his vote was very much part of a plan to build that foundation. Who knows if he'll succeed, though.
I don't think Americans would elect a Mormon president.

Trump, Jr. is honestly the most realistic probability at this point, I think; what's the other connecting thread that's going to tie the Republican Party together? I think he'd likely be trounced in the general, but I think it's not a bad bet to say he's the nominee.

Mark my words: Senate Majority Leader. His no vote was far more immediately threatening to McConnell, and we saw McConnell obey Reagan's 11th Commandment and say "I'll continue to work with Romney."
