The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
I thought her concern was coming into town was a multi-billion dollar company that will fail to provide any tax revenue to the city from their coffers.
Having lived very close to LIC for a number of years (Astoria, Upper East, Jamaica Queens), it is a neighborhood with a lot of socio-economic diversity that has just had many luxury apartments built in the past 15-20 years. She could also be concerned with pushing out the working class people who still live there. I am not 100% sure where the Amazon building structure was going to go.

Yeah, the text of the tweets I don't care for, I just wanted to post the video.
Anyway, I don't think she's aware of the potential her comment about having children can have to piss off women's rights groups who are sick and tired of hearing that line from environmentalists.
I don't want to have kids because of climate change and a billion other reasons. Is she wrong? You RMers with children really think your kids are going to have an easy go of it?

Yes. The extend growing seasons in the rest of the country will easily offset the desertification in California and sea level rise will be less than 4’ in their life time at the most extreme end of predictions. This is offset by the overwhelming downward trend in violence upward trend in equality and the rise of AI meaning each human will need to perform fewer domestic and routine tasks, they will benefit from gene therapy and customized education resulting in freeing time for creativity and life.
The paranoias surrounding climate change are very strange.
