We were a Pulitzer-winning newspaper with a reputation for in-depth, hard-hitting investigative journalism.

Readers and advertisers left us in droves for the pandering drivel that the AZ Republic shits out.

Fuck you, America.

Sounds like the internet finally happened in AZ.

I guess portraying yourself as the underdog is appealing?

This seems to be a major facet of Republican party messaging in general. The fact that they can do this despite holding a narrow (albeit flimsy) majority on the Supreme Court, the Presidency, both houses of Congress, most governorships and the majority of state legislatures is a testament to the success of that messaging. It's a part of their media messaging, and it's the crux of their messaging in regards to issues on college campuses as well. The liberal horde is always one step away from swallowing the determined few voices of conservatism.

The success of the message is not due to their numbers in the mainstream media. They are clearly outnumbered.

I think saying it's the "least trusted network" based on that is a bit misleading, as they weren't comparing the networks to each other, but each network to Trump.

And hell, if I had to choose between the two, I'd probably pick Fox News as well.

as i've stated...the American people are perhaps the most indoctrinated people on the planet.

as you go up the food chain...congress, senate, president, its more severe.

Quite literally, at this point, Fox news is determining policy, as the speculations and opinions are being eaten by a man so far from qualified for the job he thinks he has no where else to go.

Reading a random Wiki article because I wanted to learn more about Snap Elections and this stuck out at me:

The international clamor surprised the three Mercury News investigators with Carey commenting, "There's a vast difference between simple allegations and something with a factual, documentary basis," he says. "It provokes a totally different psychological reaction in the readers. Gossip stirs their apathy; facts galvanize them to action."[6]

Despite touting it all over the place, Google's News app is still as shitty as ever.

I'm puzzled as to why they can't seem to get this one right.

Apparently YouTube is experimenting with a fucking algorithm to reorder your subscriptions. No doubt to give them cover to subtly manipulate what videos its viewers are shown.

Fuck Google.

I'm not the biggest Elon Musk fan, but watching the media turn on him like a pack of wild dogs when he criticized them was something to see.
