Reddit rolled out it's new GUI. The options for card / classic / compact are pretty sweet, and the new posting process is WAY better. But the "infinite scroll" is so bogus. Ultimately a net win, but wish I could turn that last one off.

I mean, does that really surprise anyone?

I would guess many news channels feed their guests questions in advance now.

The correction to your assumption is in the article.

Yeah, I read it.

I don't believe for a second that old journalism standards apply to cable news networks anymore.

Just learned that you get six months of the Washington Post free as an Amazon Prime member. Thanks Bezos!

Well I don’t know how to argue against an opinion that relies on “feels true” and lacks evidence, so there we are

Lacks evidence? Really? There are a ton of articles and papers about the changing landscape of American journalism.

How long have you been following media/journalism in this country? Since Trump was elected?

I worked as the A1 designer at a top 20 newspaper for 15 years.

If you can't see how digital fragmentation, the death of community news and the rise of partisan journalism have changed news coverage, particularly at cable news networks, than I don't really know how to help you.

Again, why would it surprise anyone that Fox would feed questions to a Trump-friendly ally?

Here's a story from CNN about how Fox operated under Ailes and ran askew of journalism "truisms."

Simple logic would suggest other cable news networks (like the above linked-to CNN) would follow the example set by ratings juggernaut Fox and cater to their base. They aren't informing inasmuch as tell us what we want to hear.

Hell, even all the network Sunday news shows are populated with hacks glad-handing each other.

Beg pardon, r2d, but the stated opinion I’m referring to is not the broader “cable news fails to adhere to many journalism standards” line...it’s this one:
