Bari Weiss was once promising, I guess. Give me something of substance from her recently that isn’t raging against the culture war.
you dont need me to defend the substance. Just read it. The argument is right there! Its the article/tweet/etc. itself! Attack it! Agree with it!
I attacked it by calling it “info-tainment” and then you came back with some lame “it’s all info-tainment” comment or something. Did I need to say directly that labeling something info-tainment is an attack?

This story was politically convenient when we got fed it by an anonymous source. Please don't revisit it or the process by which this story was greenlighted.
If this is about the Greenwald story above, that's my biggest reason for continuing to read him. His ongoing exposure of this practice:
"Even worse, other media outlets — led by The Washington Post — purported to have “independently confirmed” the NYT/CIA tale of Russian bounties. Twice in the last year, I have written about this bizarre practice where media outlets purport to “independently confirm” one another's false stories by doing nothing more than going to the same anonymous sources who whisper to them the same things while providing no evidence. Yet they use this phrase “independent confirmation” to purposely imply that they obtained separate evidence corroborating the truth of the original story"
Where I take issue is:
His seemingly unquestioned belief/reporting that Russia is not doing any of these things... as in we should believe these reports but not the previous reports.

Taibbi, Maddow, Rappanga, Greenwald...fuck every single one of them. I have no interest in any media figure who deigns to thread some occasional reporting through the eye of their own narcissistic celebrity.
