This is one of the things that keeps me on the fence about universal healthcare:

They approved her for an assisted death without her even asking?

I think we should try to write a protocol to prevent that before we skip out on giving everyone healthcare.

She was denied the care she needs and was offered MAID as an alternative to continued painful suffering.

Can you imagine being the person to told that to a person? Oh my god.
There has to be more to that story.

My second sentence stands.

I like this response to her tweet.

Quote:
I wonder if she’s ever tried any holistic therapies. Detoxing from heavy metals. I mean there’s all sorts of holistic treatments that people use.

Me neither. It made me sweaty and unemotional. No thanks.

The protocol to prevent that is to be like every single other socialized medicine country on earth besides Canada and let ppl pay for their own healthcare outside the national system if they want to

I don't know enough to know if this is a dumb question, but how would that work with extremely expensive outlier care like the person in question above? Would that fall under government or private care coverage?

If the national system won’t pay for it, you turn to your private insurance. If private insurance won’t cover it, you’d be just as screwed in the US

Denmark's economy is now entirely based on drugging fat-shamed Americans:

The tobacco industry's push for stricter rules on vapes is intriguing, and you make a good point about potential ties between vaping manufacturers and tobacco giants. As for New Zealand's move to repeal the ban on sales to certain birth dates, it's a bit surprising. I can't help but wonder about the potential consequences, especially the risk of a black market for cigarettes and vapes. That said, I, for one, have found an alternative to tobacco. A healthier and simpler one, you can also explore it at https://www.trythecbd.com. It's a tricky balance between regulation and unintended consequences, isn't it?
