The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
Haidt is similarly compelling in other long-form interviews, plenty of which are hosted by individuals and organizations to which you would doubtlessly offer no objection.
I highly recommend The Righteous Mind to everyone.
One of the things I like best about Haidt is that he will link to, and even praise, good critiques of his own work. This review about The Coddling of the American Mind (https://www.the-american-interest.com/2018/09/19/the-bulverizing-of-the-american-mind/), I have read several times. There's a line I've gotten hung up on. "Give people too much freedom, and soon they’ll come crawling back to their chains." I think the author is right.
I feel like this post changed directions like ten times.

Thats no good. Someone would need to pay for a stylist and a personal trainer for several months for Zizek to avoid a repeat of the Nixon Kennedy debate.

I think it's safe to say at this point that JP's fame went to his head, as he himself sort of predicted it would. He's very good at explaining resentment & humility to people, but get him talking about the post-modern left and he seems completely unaware of his own resentment and arrogance these days.
