Thatcher on feminism : ‘The feminists hate me, don’t they? And I don’t blame them. For I hate feminism. It is poison.’
Thatcher on homosexuality : (it is lamentable that) Children are being taught that they have an inalienable right to be gay.”
Thatcher on race : "She thought it quite wrong that immigrants should be given council housing whereas white citizens were not." However : She made clear, however, that she had "less objection to refugees such as Rhodesians, Poles and Hungarians, since they could more easily be assimilated into British society".
She cosied up to various dictators, most notably Pinochet, Hussein, and Pol Pot, but she called Nelson Mandela and the ANC 'terrorists'.
So yeah. There have been street parties in some places over here today.

She was the biggest single recruiter for the IRA given her policies in Northern Ireland and crushed entire comunities and their livelihoods in her own country as well as making anyone who wasn't rich in Britain, suffer.
The witch is dead indeed. History will not remember her well at all. But agreed with Spenno. There's literally street parties happening all over NI and the comments on Facebook are quite revolting.
Whatever you think of her, the sheer glee that's greeted her death is quite unedifying (you should see my Facebook feed.)
Street parties? Human beings sure can be pretty horrendous.
Fuck that bullshit. I'm so happy she's dead. We're celebrating tonight.

Part of the reason I've not been on the forum much lately is that I can't be on any forum lately, I'm so depressed at our current political climate I keep fighting people. Thatcherism is still alive and well, and currently it's at a level she probably never imagined. Thanks, Lady.
