This isn’t something I bring up very often but there was a lengthy period where I was really, really into UFO-lore.
This NYT story is pretty amazing generally but especially this part, buried halfway through:
http://nytimes.com/2017/12/16/us/politi ... d.amp.htmlContracts obtained by The Times show a congressional appropriation of just under $22 million beginning in late 2008 through 2011. The money was used for management of the program, research and assessments of the threat posed by the objects.
The funding went to Mr. Bigelow’s company, Bigelow Aerospace, which hired subcontractors and solicited research for the program.
Under Mr. Bigelow’s direction, the company modified buildings in Las Vegas for the storage of metal alloys and other materials that Mr. Elizondo and program contractors said had been recovered from unidentified aerial phenomena. Researchers also studied people who said they had experienced physical effects from encounters with the objects and examined them for any physiological changes.
I don’t know about you but this seems like a moderately big deal? Or not, whatever.

yeah i read all those articles
now i am wondering if we will need to mount a robot army in order to defend from alien invation;
and then we will do so and vanquish the invaders;
and then that is when the robots will turn on humans

A 2009 Pentagon briefing summary of the program prepared by its director at the time asserted that “what was considered science fiction is now science fact,” and that the United States was incapable of defending itself against some of the technologies discovered.
This is fine and not at all something to worry about, hahahaha

I saw the infamous “black triangle” UFO floating above the woods in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park about 10 years ago one night with a couple friends. I don’t think its of extraterrestrial origin, but it freaked us the fuck out.
No I was not on drugs by the way.

unlikely considering there is no way for aliens to pass through the firmament without God's approval.
