In ON TOPIC news, Beto is preparing an outside Texas solo tour. Will he and Biden inevitably combine into a mass of moderate man so powerful all notions about the appeal of ‘diverse’ candidates will be forgotten in a malestrom of moderation???

I saw a car in Maryland yesterday that had a Beto for Senate sticker on it next to stickers for the local elementary school. Yes, it was a Subaru wagon.

The whole "send money to someone not in your state" thing always baffles me when it comes to legality. Why should I be able to affect the race in, say, Georgia? That should be up to those people* who live in the state and leave everyone else out.

*Obviously this world does not have a Citizens United ruling. Also I just found out that Citizens United is an organization. I just thought it was a fancy shorthand for the case since I never researched it before. Huh.

I'm curious to see what Gillibrand might bring to the table. Actually kind of excited for the Democratic primary! Should be a good mix of ideas and lord knows they need to get a focused message, so a robust primary should help with that.

I'm not familiar enough with her policy positions but I will say she has a much better delivery than HRC. She speaks with confidence and ease, without the air of "I'm better than you" that HRC always seemed to have. Much less arrogance.

Hillary was just a misunderstood policy wonk!

Lots of talk of Moulton entering the race now, and though I was very much for it a few months ago, I'm against it now.
