Suddenly, a step is taken:

Zero chance of passing, but at least someone is being honest about what it would take.

What use is this if straw purchases are not prosecuted? Any assault weapons ban is DOA unless you start regulating components. It's all so tiresome...

While you all remain in Gavi-baby denial, let's talk about this RFK jr clown.

Why is this guy all the rage? Because he's coherent when he speaks vs babblin' Joe? He's wrong about basically everything other than the misleading statements (lies) around the Covid vaccines.

1) Name recognition
2) Nostalgia about his name
3) He's a man
4) He appreciates birds
5) He's being talked about because of #1 & #2, but nobody knows anything about him beyond #1 & #2.

yeah def name recognition, and given that a substantial portion of the internet is now dedicated to anti-vaxxer garbage he has a built in echo chamber already. and foreign powers that meddle in US elections will likely amplify him because he may draw voters away from Biden, kind of like how they used to fund green party candidates

it’s funny bc David Brooks noted recently that the public perceives Biden as a babbly old detached grandparent but people who work in the whitehouse he knows have said he is very active and engaged and actually a very tough person to work for

which makes sense given that he survived so long in the senate as a deal maker

i thought his last state of the union speech was very lucid and articulate

Joe will be fine.

The GOP are losers.

I'm more interested in how the Senate & House races go.
