The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
What I see in this video is cops saving potentially multiple lives.
I still wonder why they don’t shoot for the kneecaps instead of torsos, though.
This must be sarcasm. He could very well have clipped the lady in pink with that line of fire. He is either fairly competent or lucky. You would not want to be in the shoes of the lady in pink in NYC.

We're already on a first name basis with this girl?
You cannot reason with someone who holds that perspective.

I can't really complain about a cop pulling their gun on a person actively trying to stab someone else.
As far as trying for non-fatal shots, I've always been told that if a situation can be resolved without a body shot, they shouldn't have their gun out. Besides, cops aren't marksmen. You shoot to stop, aiming for a knee is a good way to miss or even if you hit them, not stop them killing people.

I wonder if the omnipresence of bodycams is actually going to have a net negative effect on activist claims. Here's one from two weeks ago where de-escalation is clearly attempted, cop waits for reinforcements, innocents are moved from the scene, officers lead with a taser, the 'victim' is repeatedly told to drop it, charges the cop anyway, and manages to take an entire clip before he is brought down. For every tragic mistake (like Wright) there are literally hundreds of clean shoots like this and the more people see these the more the narrative cliches fall apart.

I only ever want to be told the truth. The shitty, painful, soul-crushing truth.

"the truth" is only what the mob (whichever side) wants it to be at this point. All you have to do is amplify your grievance hard enough through the usual channels and boom, "the truth" enters existence.
