The way I understood it from an anti-Brexit political scientist (and anyone please correct this as seen fit, since I'm not an expert on this at all), is that the referendum should have been merely whether to authorize negotiations of Brexit, and then if a deal was made, hold a second vote on what the actual deal was.

Keywords ‘should have been’.

It wasn’t.

It was literally a binary choice on the ballot.
Leave the European Union
Remain in the European Union.

Nothing, none of the actual outcomes or complexities were explained and elaborated upon.

That’s why the call for a second referendum.

They won’t get it unless May steps down but who knows.

Whole thing has been so bizarre anything can happen.

And now you have a scenario where neither party is getting what they were sold nor wanted.

In that scenario, why would the EU give any concessions, even the meager ones they’ve given now? They’d just be making a Leave vote that much more likely.

The whole thing was an open goal for labour opposition.
They didn’t take advantage
They didnt turn up at the march today
Corbyn was out in the sticks campaigning for a general election.

Tom Watson, the deputy leader of the labour party, spoke at the march.

It was only local elections that Corbyn decided to campaign in instead and mostly in wards where labour never win.

I have a theory.
She’ll be deposed this week, a new pm installed who will revoke article 50 and call the whole thing off.
That’s what the leaked documents about the army is about, they’re prepping for civil unrest.
Least that won’t last too long.

Meanwhile the German government has written to all Brits living in Germany to tell them that as of April 1st they’re no longer entitled to welfare /benefits and they’re to be regarded as refugees.

The irony is kind of delicious

Looks like May is stepping down after this round of votes tonight or once it’s passed or rejected?

Man, Boris Johnson is such an unbelievable clown. It blows my mind that anyone could take that guy seriously.

Yep. 100% buffoon.

But he has the backing of at least half the party. And no support whatsoever of the people.

The tories are fucked and totally split.

This might lead to a general election and two if not more years of this bullshit.

Scotland’s first minister nails it. If only they had this woman leading. She’s fantastic overall
