The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.

Zeldas are very hard to replay for me. Like BOTW... it felt like it could be the best game of all time but I have almost zero desire to replay it anytime soon. This is the metric by which I measure quality of games. Likability/pick-up-and-play ability.

One case. And it's a special case. My calculations say RDR2 probably should have been a first round pick.

Shadow of the Colossus - PS4, 2018
Alright, I know the rule is HD remasters are supposed to be votes for the original game instead, but hear me out on this. The common consensus amongst the ICO fanbase (this game, ICO and The Last Guardian) is that the 2018 PS4 version is the definitive version of this game.
This game is visually fucking astonishing. This is hands down, the best looking game I’ve played in my entire life. Shadow of the Colossus carries a dark, lonesome vibe as you wander through a beautiful abandoned landscape. It’s a bit like a more mature, less cartoon-ish Zelda game (and this game definitely influenced the more recent Zelda games). And the vague, open ended story and conclusion is one of a kind.
If this has to be a vote for the original, so be it, but I will argue why the 2018 HD PS4 version is the one I want included if I have to.

Considering this version is completely rebuilt from the ground up not using a single line of code from the original I will allow it. What do others think?

It's nothing like that, dummy. Mass Effect has aged poorly. Straight to ME2 would be an understandable move. Also, for the PC version at least, you could opt to do a choose-your-own-adventure-comic-type-thing to determine how you would have acted in ME1.

You and MD don’t understand what makes ME special at all. The gameplay itself isn’t important. That decision summary in lieu of ME1 doesn’t create even remotely the same experience as 20-50 hours of world-building, character-building, lore, and atmosphere.
Also, ME1 is the best game of all time.

I understand that, but if its charms are buried beneath clunky controls and a horrible screen resolution (PC that is -- it's probably fine on console), then that's a no from me dawg.
