Side note: Why isn't dev voting in this? He seems like he'd be into the more rap oriented nu metal.

That opening bassline is fucking killer

What is killer about it?! Literally my first thought upon pressing play was "they could've at least tried with the bassline". It's three root notes played with no flair or dynamics, with a boring, standard tone. It sounds like an Offspring bass line.

Huh. It really does.

Mudshovel for me. I listened to that Deny song for the first time and have already forgotten everything about it.

Only problem is that song is from 2005 and Mudshovel is 1999. Well, 1993 if you count the original version.

I can't repeat that song. Doesn't anybody go to bass school before joining a band?

I was not implying that one was the copy of another, just that they are both basic and lame

I might even like that Offspring bass a bit better because it has that little slide up the neck at the start

The Offspring had some killer basslines back in the day, who cares if it’s simple, not everyone needs to be Les Claypool.

Sidenote: Pretty Fly for a White Guy should have been in this tournament.
