I don't even remember how I got them but I think I have like 35 guardian arrows on my save.

I tried Zelda again and I like it now. Lobbing bombs at unsuspecting groups of bokoblins and hearing them shriek as they fly off a cliff is extremely satisfying.

Diablo 3 for the Switch is only $17 at Walmart today. That's something like 70% off, mere weeks after release. You freedom bois had better jump on that.

I've never played a Diablo game but am intrigued by the portability. How much grinding is there?

The story is worth playing through at least once, but hack 'n slash RPGs are grindy by definition. They have basically been refining the gameplay loop for the past ~6 years. 99% of the player base will just be grinding "rifts" (random-ish dungeon environments) repeatedly for better gear.

It's not for everyone, but it's best in genre for accessibility and overall playability.

At $17 it sounds like it is tough to pass up. This version has all the DLC too, so that's a plus.

Brought it to Thanksgiving dinner and my sister's kids wouldn't put it down. My sister was mildly annoyed.

The docking station kinda sucks. Getting it to sit in there just right so the green light comes on is causing me palpitations.

My dock has started acting up as well. I have to drop it in several times before it registers as "on" now. I plugged in a USB-C hub and it registers every time, so it's clearly the dock.

I bought one of these in hopes it just doesn't sit right in the dock instead of malfunctioning electronics.

So I'm going to cave in and get one of these despite having little time to play it because I'm a sucker for Smash. What other games are essential (aside from Zelda)? Anything cool a 4 year old could handle?

My 4 y/o and I play Mario Odyssey by sharing the joy cons. I take the one that moves (otherwise she'll just run off cliffs) and she holds the one that jumps and butt stomps.

Yes.

I really like the rhythm levels specifically.

Yes! Rayman Run (the mobile game) is also pretty good.

The Rayman series, like Pikmin, is a very underrated series of games overall.

I agree, but the Raving Rabbids offshoots haven't done much for me.

Although I still haven't played the Mario + Raving Rabbids mashup.
