Ugh, reports now that while they slashed the cost of heroes by 75%, they neglected to report that they also dropped the rewards you can earn by a large margin; also that some people are having difficulty returning their pre-bought games. This is highway robbery. I'm gonna wait to purchase until EA gets their head out of their ass.
lol, I wouldn't hold your breath
haha right? EA has been finding fun and innovative ways to ruin games for ages now.

Three EA devs did ana AMA this morning for BF2, and their answers were the worst sort of PR non-answers you can imagine. My Ralph Nader fandom is surpassing my Star Wars fandom. Fuck these guys, I am abstaining until they work this out (or I can get a good deal on a used copy). What a bummer.

Most of the hate is well deserved, but several other games are doing variations of this too and no one is talking about them. Mobile game tendencies have spilled into triple-A console games, sad.
Yeah, the more I read about this, I’m out on this game. Too bad, I was excited for this.
It sounds like the core game and mechanics are just as good, if not better than the original. Plus, it has content from all three trilogies.
It's a shame this loot crate bullshit is overshadowing it. I have no doubt they'll end up changing a bunch of it in the weeks and months ahead to appease fans.

Here's hoping most people are smart enough to realize they can send a message by refusing to buy any of those loot crates, or gems or whatever the fuck it is they are selling.

It just does not sound like a fun game. Maybe I'm in a minority, but I'm a casual gamer, I wont put in the time(and certainly not the money) to make this game worthwhile.
I can't think of many shooters where a casual gamer would be good anymore. Pretty much every one has a dedicated base that has mastered every class and map to the point of domination loot boxes be damned. I bet the early release folks will crush the poor souls that have to wait until Friday to play it. That's just how it works now.
I don't blame people for being turned off by the loot boxes and cancelling their pre-orders/not buying it. It's your money, do what you want with it.

Probably high 90s. I'm really eager to see what the first week sales numbers are, and how EA responds over the next couple weeks. If the first week is a disaster, then they'll be scrambling to fix this by Xmas.

The PR alone has been awful. I hope it puts other developers on notice.

I can't wait for Titanfall 3 to be awful
There will probably be a microtransaction for each Titan.
