Team Tree: Legend of Zelda is amazing, and the DualSense is probably the most advanced controller for able-bodied people ever made Big respect for the Pulse 3D headset. I do believe that intelligent audio design + good headphones is a cornerstone of great gaming, and I think it's a really smart pick. As a PS4 owner, I'm really torn on this console. The number of games I've LOVED is actually very small, while the number of games I've started, grown tired of, then dumped by the wayside is really large. It's a funny era for gaming, when devs seemed to lean on graphics and trends, while letting the gameplay mechanics largely exist in a derivative state. Don't care about God of War, Donkey Kong, and I've always found Mega Man to be just a little overrated. The first RDR was great, and the second one looks like something I'd really enjoy if I ever had the time to play it. The Show is a blast, but I'm similarly short on time for a deep dive. Castlevania is a funny series... I loved the original, and found the sequel to be sort of a drag. They ebbed and flowed until SOTN, one of my all-time favorite videogames.
Team Ello: Playstation, Tekken, Half-Life, and Diablo have all provided many hours of entertainment for me. I hated the only Fallout game I played (4). I have the Bioshock Trilogy on my PS4 and someday will fire it up. I did enjoy watching my BiL play the third one for an afternoon, looks like a pretty great game. The 360 controller has a terrific feel, and I'd love to try the Vive someday to see if the rumors about it being better than the Rift and PSVR are true. Not a huge interest in Age of Empires, but I'd love to give it a shot if I had the time to spare.
Team Ello: If these guys invited me over, I'd be happier playing Tekken, Half-Life, and Diablo without a primo headset than vice versa. And I'd finally get to try out a Vive!

Tree Zelda is probably the "best" Nintendo franchise, and my second favourite. Excellent choice.
PS4 is a bit boring, and not backwards compatible, which is a minus.
I've only ever played the NES Donkey Kong games and they're OK.
I'm playing God Of War (2018) now, and it's a bit clunky for me. Haven't played the others.
I prefer the Xbox controllers - haven't experienced the PS5 controller.
I love the Red Dead games and the NES Mega Man games.
Haven't heard of Sony Pulse 3D and MLB The Show sounds like a sports game.
Not into Castlevania.
Ello PlayStation is my second favourite console pick.
The Bioshock series has its flaws, but I've loved all the games. The Half-Life series is universally great - HL: Alyx is an absolute trip.
I've sunk some hours into AoE and Diablo. The Xbox 360 is probably my favourite controller pick. I think the Quest is the more important VR choice, but VR had to be represented. Don't really care for Tekken or Fallout.
This is a PC-heavy draft, so it appeals to me, but it's lacking a Nintendo pick.
This is the trickiest match-up for me, but I'm going with ELLO, since I'm a PC kinda guy.

I hate faffing around throwing an axe (without the precision of a mouse), and retrieving it, and I can't be arsed with all these timed "hit a bell" things.
The Arkham series is an example of a fighting game that made me feel badass even though I'm cackhanded. In God Of War I'm playing a literal god and I feel like an old stompy man.

(I'm vehemently against too much challenge in a game - I want to have an immersive experience where I get to quickly and consistently do fun interactions. Hence my dislike of Souls games)
Console: While I think the PS4 is one of the very best consoles ever made, I'll have to side with the PSX (that's the correct abbreviation). I respect Ello for going with his soul rather than his brain (Super Mario was still on the board). I didn't have the guts to go with the Genesis or Saturn. Edge: Ello Sailor
Controller: It might be too early to declare the DualSense's greatness. It is, however, an actual next-gen controller. I'm a fan of the XBOX 360 controller, but I hate how large the home button is. Edge: Tree
Accessory: I play my games with home theatre audio. I'll probably never use a gaming headset. As a glasses wearer, I don't like anything over my glasses. I'll never get into VR as a result. Edge: Neither
Franchise: Zelda is my #1 all-time favorite franchise. LoZ, LttP, OoT and WW are all-time greats with BotW being my #1 game of all-time. Donkey Kong is the best platformer this side of the mustache. I enjoyed all entries in the God of War franchise, but GoW (PS4) really blossomed and matured. IMO, GoW (PS4) is the #1 PS4 game. I'm a fan of RDR1, but I haven't played RDR2 yet. I've never been into Mega Man, but I hope to play Mega Man X someday. I don't play sports games much anymore. I've never played The Show. Castlevania hasn't put out an above-average console entry in 24 years. I also hate the term Metroidvania with a passion. Unfortunately, I've never played a Gran Turismo. Fallout (and Elder Scrolls) is a game that I should love, but I don't. I enjoyed Bioshock 1 and I recently picked up 2 and Infinite so I hope to beat those eventually. Fighting games aren't my thing - I've probably only played 1 in the past 15 years. I was never a Tekken fan, but I own Tekken 3. I think Half Life 2 and it's episodic content are spectacular. [Random CopperTom Opinion: Half Life is currently the most mismanaged IP in the industry. Runner Up: Portal] I've never played Age of Empires or Diablo. I picked up Diablo 3 last Black Friday and will probably get the Diablo 2 Remaster. Edge: Tree
