MLB players is basically making Sony put it on more consoles.

I know that, just figured Gamepass was a one time thing last year to get a good base on the new console.

Is it good? Any real difference/improvement from past iterations? I haven't played one in a few years.

Waiting to see if I should get the Switch version. Way more likely to pick up and play it there than on the TV (not a huge baseball fan).

I haven't played The Show since 20, and I can say that there aren't many straight-gameplay updates since that version. The game does run incredibly smooth, though, definitely the prettiest I've ever played (used to play on PS3/PS4, now Series X).

I've only played Diamond Dynasty so far, and I am happy in general with the gameplay options, but disappointed with the way they've combined experience progression with the team affinity (which is basically gone) and made XP the central driver of programs. The menus are also a disaster IMO.

Play ball!

Love the show a lot minus the fact I never got my gold pack for pre ordering it

Today's daily The Show moment has you face the Guardians, and I heard someone in the crowd yell, "Go back to Cleveland!" Folks, video games have peaked.

I'm tempted to get the new Madden, but I hate EA Sports and their NFL monopoly, but I miss playing football video games, and I'm so excited to play as the Dolphins... I'll see what the reviews look like before deciding

Are they actually going to improve Franchise mode? It’s been the same for years. I usually get it once every 3 years or so.

I dunno. I don't care about that. I just want solid user-controlled gameplay that isn't dictated by luck-of-the-draw animations. Man, if they could make an NFL game with gameplay even remotely as good as Rocket League, I'd be so happy.

Gameplay looks smoothe and much improved. Gonna go ahead and jump in this year after taking a break last year.

NBA 2k23 Championship Edition comes with the game, bonuses, and a year subscription to League Pass (normally $199) for only $150. A great deal.

Downloaded the Madden trial through EA Play. There’s a new passing system that’s a little trickier but they still give you the option of doing it the other way.

There's a lot to take in with this new madden and I haven't had a lot of time with it. I had played a few online matches, winning all but one, not being great with the controls or feel yet. But last night I decided to go through the training and drill exercises to improve, and I'm liking it more the more I get used to it. This is definitely the best, most realistic looking and feeling Madden I've ever played. Receivers attempt to stay in bounds on sideline throws and running backs get skinny through holes, QBs are less accurate under pressure, CPU controlled defenses are smarter, etc.

The new passing system doesn't really feel novel to me. You basically just have the option of aiming a little more accurately where you want to place the ball. If you want to throw down and to the left, you press down and to the left. I guess in previous iterations it wasn't as accurate, but I've always played QB that way in video games.

I could care less about franchise, MUT, or other modes for now. It's really just a lot of fun to play a mostly realistic game of NFL football with my favorite team. I'm happy with it.
