I didn't know where else to post this so figured I'd start this thread.

This video sums up well why modern Madden games are disappointing and explains what happened. Highly recommend. I really hope EA loses their monopoly on NFL games soon.

It's coming to the Xbox next year I think.

They did make an announcement about crossing platforms at some point, but no confirmed timeline yet from what I know. There's a bit of anxiety in Show-Land because there have been no details about The Show '21--at this point they've usually announced pre-order bonuses and stuff like that (you usually get an in-game bonus for the current year if you pre-order for next year).

Pretty sure Madden and the NFL extended their deal, unfortunately.

As games become more and more "realistic" and detailed, it becomes increasingly obvious how difficult it is to program sports that have multiple, independently moving players. Games with more static actions (like baseball) can be much more manageable to create.

The reliance on microtransactions and predatory business practices don't help with innovation either.

I don't know man... there really is no excuse for a football game from the early 2000's like NFL 2k to have better gameplay than one made in 2021. It's clearly from lack of effort. And why give a shit if they sell like hot cakes every year with no competition. I guess that's their excuse but fuck EA and their shiny pieces of shit.

Worth every penny. Don't fall for the microtransactions if you play Diamond Dynasty, it's easy to have fun without them.

Can’t believe The Show is coming to Gamepass again. I assumed that was a one off thing.
