Is anyone going to be picking this up? I'm a huge EU4 fan, but I've always found CK2 a little impenetrable.

It's getting glowing reviews and it appears they've made a major effort to make it more accessible, without sacrificing the depth.

I'm going to pick it up this weekend when I can dedicate a full day to it.

This game is magnificent and (crucially for a CK newbie like me) has a good tutorial to help you out initially as the depth is astonishing.

I've been enjoying seeing how certain people play the game: saw a video on Youtube in which a guy caused his ruler of Brittany to create a religion in which clothes were verboten and incest was best. Within a few generations his heirs all looked like Lord Farquaad

I've been playing this game a ton. In 100 years I've gone from the Earl of Essex (my real life home county) to the King of England. Now I just have to hold onto it, which could be a problem because my heir sucks ass.
