Who the hell plays Zelda for the story?

Also, the weapon breaking system is a fundamental part of the gameplay design. It's certainly not everyone's favorite feature, but it would be a different (worse) experience without it.

OK so my point still stands.. you play for exploration, right? so once you've explored everything there's not much replay value.. and if you don't like exploring there's not much here at all.. i just wonder if all the hubbub is cause it's ZELDA.. a lot of nostalgia

I'm just not a big fan of open world games. I guess I prefer more linear games as opposed to wandering around. I'm not ready to quit yet.

The game is the polar opposite of linear. Might just not be your thing.

Not much here? 120 shrines, 4 dungeons, 90 sidequests.

Completing a shrine, dungeon or sidequest is not exploration. Not niche.

Open world games rarely compell me to replay, but this is an exception. It is so wide open that you can have an almost completely different experience the second time around.

Also, the weapon breaking system is a fundamental part of the gameplay design. It's certainly not everyone's favorite feature, but it would be a different (worse) experience without it.

I’ll drop any other weapon for a good spear!

There’s some game called immortals that’s sposed to be very like this but it has a lot of humour and a great story.

I don’t play Zelda for the story. Usually click through those bits tbh

Yeah it would be WAY too easy if the weapons were more durable.

Hard disagree on this one. Give me a good one handed sword any day of the week.
