The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
I've gotten about 2-4 hours into the game twice now. I found the gameplay to be incredibly clunky. Everything else was top notch.
It's revered by many, so there's definitely some things worth sticking around for. Just have to find the right time in the calendar to devote enough time to it.

If it felt clunky before, it might not be a good idea to go from the ultra smooth combat of God of War to Witcher 3. You might want to play a buffer game in between.

I need to finish Resident Evil 3 Remake, so that might be a good candidate.

It's definitely worth sticking with it and getting in the groove. IIRC i found the first 5-10 hours of the Witcher to be a bit of a hurdle to get into as well. It's been a while since I've played but I think my issue was partly due to being overwhelmed with excessive inventory early on, and learning how to research and plan my attacks on specific monsters types. Plus I don't think the game really holds your hand in the opening hours.
Now that the next gen upgrade is out that may be the kicker I need to give it another play.
