The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
It's going to be a very lean 18 month stretch for Sony and Microsoft. Gears 5, tLoU2 and not much else. It's strange that these companies aren't supporting their current generation more.

Lots of 3rd party stuff too. Makes sense they are gearing up for next gen though. It wouldn't surprise me if one of them releases their new box in early 2020.
I for one would love to see them release the PS5 in early 2020 as opposed to releasing in the fall (which I understand the fall makes better business sense). Totally agree that it's looking more and more like tLoU2 won't be out this CY (same for Ghost of Tsushima) so my take is it's better to just wait and release both as opening day PS5 launch titles/exclusives.
If I recall correctly, the PS4 (and PS3) had over a year's worth of shitty launch titles as the developers grew accustom to the new platform. Why not release two games (that for all intents and purposes will be well received based upon very early but excellent footage) on the PS5, even if they were developed on the PS4 baseline...

Because you will make a lot of people who own PS4s mad. You almost have to release them for both consoles. Pull a Breath of the Wild or Dragon Age: Origins.

Is anyone excited about Borderlands 3? There was a livestream of about an hour of gameplay this week and it looks like....Borderlands. I had a ton of fun with BL 1+2 (never played the Pre-Sequel), so I guess I am on board, but I'm seeing very little excitement for this.
