Anybody else love these as much as I did? Some of my all-time favorite games were text input, and later point-and-click:

Space Quest
King's Quest
The Dig
Full Throttle
Day of the Tentacle
Gabriel Knight series
Laura Bow series (A Colonel's Bequests and The Dagger of Amon-Ra)
Willy Beamish
Leisure Suit Larry
Police Quest (pre-SWAT)

Long, terrific article on the downfall of my beloved Sierra Online. Quite a tale.

These games were the greatest. I don't think I ever beat a single one of them, but I loved the challenge of them. And the agony of not saving my game every two minutes in the Space Quest games. I feel like I died every 90 seconds in those games.

If we go into lockdown again, I need to find these and start wasting all of my time.

Recently came back around to playing these. Especially Space Quest 5, after my son watched a Game Grumps play through and wanted to try it out.

I’ve also played a few homage games that were really good. Thimbleweed Park comes to mind.

Huge fan of Full Throttle. I loved it. also Indy, Sam & Max, Leisure Larry, Grim Fandango.

But damn Full Throttle still gets me. I wanna play it again.
