I’ve never thought about video game accomplishments before. Hmmm... I’ve 100% completed a bunch of Mario games. So that’s probably my best as a player, I don’t know. I also completed a bunch of other games like Contra and The Simpson arcade game when I was a kid. I’m sure there are some I don’t even remember.
But I’m probably most proud of the levels I designed in Mario Maker. I set out with a goal in mind with that game, and I felt like I designed smart, challenging, levels. I’m still proud of that.
I'll have to come back to these.
Man, I really hope Mario Makers comes to the Switch.
Yeah man, I hope it does too. Mario Maker is my favorite game of the last many years. And I still plan on getting the Switch, but I haven’t gotten around to it yet.
And it would be great if you played my old levels (again?). I’d love to get your thoughts on any of them.
How would one do this?
See the Mario Maker thread for codes.

I once beat the #1 ranked player in the world in Dawn of War 2. I completed all 3 Dark Souls games without ever using a shield, or referring to a walkthrough. I beat id Software's Heretic on hardest difficulty when I was 9 years old.

In elementary school (late 80s) we had this floppy disk game at school that we all called "Driver." You had to guide a "car" (big white pixel) down the road (parallel lines that would zig zag). There were 3 difficulty settings that would increase the speed and narrow the road. I can find no evidence on the internet that this game existed, but I ruled at it.

I played that game.
Do you remember what it was called? I thought it was Driver, but that makes it basically unGoogleable.

No idea. I hadn’t thought about that game since elementary school, but I know exactly what you are talking about. We were allowed to play at the end of our typing class if we finished all our work before the period was over. I must’ve been about 10 years old.

I got the Patriots to give me a 1st round pick for Paxton Lynch in Madden; they went something like 2-14 the next season and have been the worst team in the league during my franchise with the Bills. This wasn't exceptional or anything but I found it very satisfying.

The only era that I was a dedicated gamer was the NES era.
I got so good at Ninja Gaiden, probably because it was 1 of maybe 10 games I owned, that I beat it without dying.
Other games that felt like tru accomplishments to finish: 1 Battletoads (no warping), Tyson’s Punch Out (beat him once by decision), and the original TMNT.

Freshman year I beat all my friends at madden once and retired undefeated. Last game was a desperation play where I was just trying to mash buttons to snap the ball before time ran out. Won 7-6. It was the highlight of my brief college experience.
