they were both phenomenal systems. i was a genesis owner, but would often rent SNES with my buds when we were sleeping over just for the star wars games and street fighter 2 (which was an SNES exclusive for s considerable period before getting the port) |

I had Genesis first. 1993. I mostly played sports games at that time of my life. I bought a SNES after I got a "real" job as a teenager. 1997 or 1998. I got the classics- Zelda, Mario, Mario Kart, DKC 1, 2, 3. I consider myself Team Genesis. |

The kids I wasn't allowed to play with in elementary school all had Genesis. That's not why I wasn't allowed to play with them, but I think there's an interesting correlation there. Especially reading the type of RMers here who had Genesis. Bunch of drug abusing, nihilistic rogues. All of you. |

This thread is going to tear RM apart. BTW I was a Sega kid, but that was probably only because I had one and not an SNES. The reason I asked for a Sega for Christmas as opposed to an SNES was because I found a Mortal Kombat cartridge on the ground and wanted to be able to play it, so it had nothing to do with the merits of the system or anything like that. |
