The whole vote was based on a false premise. Under the old system, we already allowed multiple video game threads to exist besides the all encompassing one (see: Mario Maker, Gamertag Database). It's just that most people just used the all encompassing thread because most topics wouldn't generate enough interest for their own thread.

Every thread I created was moved to all encompassing thread and I threw a hissy fit. I just wanted to talk about Splatoon and God of War without it being drowned out and forgotten. If they hadn't moved my couple of threads none of this would have happened.
