The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.

I'm to the serpent dude. Was late, but made it to the second phase on my first try. Back to it tonight.
Finished that dude today. He's not bad until he starts raining those flaming skulls down on you for what seems like forever. Eventually managed to beat him after a half dozen attempts, pretty fun boss actually.
I'm into the mountaintop of giants how, i just had to make a swing back for that boss to complete the Volcano Manor quests.
Yeah, I finished him pretty quickly. Just beat the snake and then used my Mimic Tear Spirit Ash to distract the second phase. Easy peasy.
I'm using a guide to finish some of the early/mid game side quests in the event I want to get the platinum trophy.
lol yup i used the mimic tear too. I was using the Jellyfish to distract him, and probably could have beaten him that way (i had gotten close a couple times) but then decided to try the Mimic Tear tactic.

Upgraded Mimic Tear has been a great asset to have in the bag for those aggro bosses.

I think i'm getting pretty close to the endgame here. I just beat Mohg this morning - now to find my way to the Haligtree
how did you beat mohg?
i had to look it up out of frustration. I could get him down to 50% health pretty easy but his curse that he hits you with at phase 2 was just insta-killing me on the spot.
Turns out there's the purifying crystal tear you need to mix into your wondrous physick that protects you from it. Other than that i was using my mimic tear spirit ash and just shredding him with a dragon communion incantation - either dragonice or glintsone, i can't recall which. As long as he was focusing his aggro on my mimic tear i only needed about 6-8 hits with the incantation to take him down. My build is pretty OP on those dragon incantations as long as i can get a few seconds and some distance to cast.
There's also Mohg's shackle which works the same as Margit's shackle in that you can pin him in the first phase of the fight a couple times, but i didn't have that item (it's in the subterranean shunning grounds, i haven't finished that section yet).

I really need to start researching weapons and armor. I've done just about nothing with it other than swapping out 1 or 2 pieces of armor. Still using a sword I found early on which I've leveled up.
I haven't hit any significant roadblocks yet (thank you, Zombie Chicken, for all the runes) but I'm guessing I will soon if I don't start investing time into my build.
I finally got back to Radagan and it was ridiculously easy just using the summons. Shredded him in about 20 seconds.
