But what a bizarre ending to that game.

Yeah, Brees and Payton are the last two guys you'd think would blow a game with bonehead moves.

Hypothetically, we could have an 11-win team not make the playoffs in the NFC.

The Panthers could go into week 16 with 11 wins, but still need to beat ATL just to make the playoffs.
Weird.
Eagles and Vikes will both very likely have 12 wins or more.
Chances are very likely that the Seahawks and the Rams will have 11 wins.
Saints, Panthers and Falcons will battle it out for the division title and a wildcard.
It'll likely come down to conference record and Carolina already has 4 loses in conference.

The Lions have the easiest road of the 6-6 teams.

except they're the lions, and they always blow it.

Awesome snow game in Buffalo right now. Borderline unviewable on tv.

Discalaimer: Disgruntled Vikings fan.
1) We lost that game. The few dropped passes we had were HUGE and cost us points. Additinally, the face mask penalties we got in the first half also cost us points.
2) We gave up huge runs. Stewart blew us wide open. Also, how did we let cam newton bust or 65 yards with 5 minutes left? This is not the defense that have brought us to this point.
3)This is where the disclaimer comes into play but holy shit the NFL abslutely needs to revisit what a catch is. Thielen caught that ball hit the ground and jumbled it and it was called a no TD. i get that in regards to the rules. However, that last run play the panthers ran and scored a TD.....ooof.
Here's my frustration: Within the rules its a touchdown and he broke the plane. I get that. Also, as soon as he broke the plane the ball was smacked out of his hands
Within the rules regarding thielens catch? Not a touch down. Fuck that. He grabbed. Feet were in bounds. He had control. He hit the ground and jumbled it.
I know there is chatter and controversy regarding what constitutes a catch....
But when you compare the two plays.......
That is frustrating. Thielen caught the ball as much as the panther running back crossed the line.

Man, the aftermath of that hit on Savage was worse than when a guy goes limp.

When's the last time a Bears qb had a game like that?

What would it take for teams to stop putting concussed players back in games? Suspending head coaches? Loss of draft picks?

I guess Mitchell played on Cincys field in high school. I could see that helping a rookie feel more comfortable.

The Eagles believe Carson Wentz's season is over after the quarterback suffered an ACL injury in his knee during Philadelphia's 43-35 win over the Los Angeles Rams, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported.
