The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
Since we are digging up pre-season predictions, a lot of them are on page 9,10.
Feeling good about my AFC prediction. NFC prediction needs work, but looks like ATL will be in the playoffs, so Super Bowl rematch prediction still possible....

Then, you rest your best players in today's game, assuring that they will be rusty after a two week layoff.
I'd like to see some stats to back up this rust claim. I know Washington only played its starters for a half in week 17 of the 91 season, and came out on fire in the playoffs. Pretty sure Gibbs has had some interesting quotes/thoughts on that over the years that the "rust" theory is over rated. Yet ya hear it every year when a team sits players in week 17.
With few exceptions, Belichick has left the vast majority of starters in late games over the last 18 years in NE and it's worked out well. Brady, for example, rarely comes out.

Andy Reid is like 100-2 coming off a bye week (regular and post season) so, after having 1 week off you can be great, but two weeks off you turn to rust? I think it all depends on the players. I cant see Brady getting rusty with two weeks off.
That all being said, I wish the Eagles would have left Foles in long to get more in game action with the bye next week.

I am more specifically referring to whether you play your players during the last game of the season.
I think when you sit players too long, it takes some time to get back into game speed. There's also the psychological factor of what the Steelers did...sit their best players with a shot at the No. 1 seed? The whole point is to keep improving each week, build and learn and never stop competing. Why play scared?

Atlanta is the only repeat playoff team from last season in the NFC. Personally I would rather play the Rams than in the Superdome. Good on ya Bills. Let hope Shady can suit up.
