I was sick over Christmas, which always leads to significant weight loss, and even though I know it’s not good weight loss (and even though I’m sure I’ll rebound this week), I’m starting the year under 260, which is phenomenal. The jeans that I bought 2 months ago are actually almost too big now. I’ve got extra skin out the wazoo, but it’s all about being healthy, not looking good.

some of the skin will tighten
nothing better than fitting into your jeans and even better if they are a little too loose, nice work!
Since starting a dedicated regimen a year ago, I seem to gain/lose a couple of pounds all the damn time, like breathing. Is this normal?
yes, water weight. it fluctuates between 3-7 pounds per day. if you eat a lot of carbs, sodium etc. you can weigh more cuz your body is holding onto water. very normal.

yes just weigh yourself at the same time every day for me usually the morning, pre- any water drinks or coffee but usually post first pee, but pre- first poop
that gives the baseline
will vary dramatically relative to end of night
