The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
My favourite part about last night's action was the Canada/Dominican Republic pitching matchup. Carlos Martinez, the exciting young star pitcher with an electric arm coming off back-to-back excellent seasons for the Cards, vs. Ryan Dempster, who retired three years ago.

Fan energy has reached a fever pitch over at Estadio Charros de Jalisco in anticipation of tonight's Venezuela/Puerto Rico duel. Sources on the ground tell me that the men in blue, red and yellow hope to win one for Hugo.

Imagine how awesome this thing could be if American players weren't poons about it?
its not just Americans... 1 of Chinese Taipei's 4 teams, held out its 3 top players (they are on a one team strike in the league?) Korean teams, would not release their Dutch players to play for the Netherlands? Don't know how many players were talking bout here, and most likely none of them were better than the MLB Allstar infield the Dutch is throwing out there, but if it was a few pitchers?
Still cant believe Mexico blowing that 5 run 9th. It cost them, theyre not only out, they gotta go back to the qualifying tournament for the 2nd straight WBC.
Ah well, time for the 1 game play off with Italy and Venezuela

Adam Jones is an American hero.
The ironic part, is if Harper or Trout commit to play, Yelich or Jones are probably not on the team, and both have been carrying the U.S. offense.
I really dislike how Leyland is using his bullpen though, I see why you Tiger fans complained about him now. Really looking forward to Tuesday night, I watched 5 of Japans 6 games, theyre playing at a really high level right now. Their second baseman and SS are a couple of really slick fielders (both Golden Glovers) and their cleanup hitter, if theres runners on, he gets them in.
