I'll post updated stats tomorrow morning and say that virtually anyone could be available for the right price. Pitching pitching pitching is what I need.

Remember guys, starting with day fifteen, it's a three game series everyday. No more splits. A new era is upon us...

Let's just do four each day the rest of the way

Why stop at an 84 game season? At that point it'd be silly not to go all the way to 100...

From now until the break, I'm changing my five man rotation to a four man, with Schmidt & Garrelts pitching every fourth day while Perez, Lowe, and Buehrle rotate throughout the other two slots. Garrelts (5-0, 1.93) is my clear #1 so far, and Schmidt (2-3, 3.00) has been a solid #2. The other three are still pretty much interchangeable (3-2, 5.52 for Perez, 2-2, 5.23 for Lowe, 1-2, 5.29 for Buehrle). Hopefully by the break I'll have a clear 1-2-3-4.

I'm heavily weighing rolling the dice with a four man bullpen after the break. Eckersley, Rivera, Gagne, and Wagner are a combined 2-0 with a 2.59 ERA and 7 saves in 8 opportunities, while Myers is 0-2 with a 15.89 ERA. I may drop him for a sixth starter I'll never use. For what it's worth, I've only got one loss that you can consider being WhatIf'd (when they let Derek Lowe take a 3-2 lead into the ninth and didn't pull him for Eckersley until he gave up the lead). So far they've been pretty good about going Eckersley-Rivera-Gagne in games where my starter exits with a lead. It may still prove to be a bad decision in the long run, but so far I'm ok with my draft strategy.

You're only 3 games out of a playoff spot with 42 left to go. You've got plenty of time to catch fire.

If you sweep CopperTom tomorrow you'll be above .500 and within a game of him.

The three game per day schedule is going to be awesome until I inevitably get swept.
