How drunk will Peyton Manning get watching Brady win yet another Super Bowl + SB MVP title? Drunk enough to hit his kids?
He did say in that SB50 ceremony that he was "going to drink a lot of beer", and specifically said it would be Budweiser. My first reaction was that Manning needs to drink some better beer, but it actually may have been a covert slam at the NFL for forbidding players from endorsing alcohol companies, as he's a partner in some Anheuser-Busch distributors.

If that's true, I'll take back 4 or 5 of the bad things I ever said about Peyton fucking Manning.

these guys must not have gotten the memo on the importance of scoring a lot of points in the pro bowl

The 49ers make it official, announcing former NFL safety John Lynch as their new general manager. Lynch has never worked as a talent evaluator or in a personnel role in the NFL or elsewhere.
sounds like a great idea

There's a chance someone may have mentioned this already, but Ohio State probably just produced the single best draft class ever if these players pan out and develop from their rookie years (which seems highly likely for most of them):
#3 Joey Bosa-DROY winner, 10.5 sacks in 12 games after missing training camp with a holdout #4 Ezekiel Elliot-OROY winner, 1st Team All-Pro, Rushing Leader #10 Eli Apple-Good rookie year on one of the best pass defenses in the NFL #16 Taylor Decker-Started all 16 games, didn't miss a snap for a playoff team #20 Darron Lee-Definitely the worst of the 1st rounders so far, only one who looks questionable #47 Michael Thomas-92-1,137-9 statline, broke Football Outsiders Rookie DYAR record (was held by Randy Moss) #61 Vonn Bell-Finished with 81 tackles, 1 sack, 4 PD, and 2 FF #80 Adolphus Washington-21 Tackles, 2.5 sacks at DT #85 Braxton Miller-Questionable, went on IR, but has potential #94 Nick Vannett-Very little production but looked alright #139-Cardale Jones-Probably sucks, developmental guy
I know they won a title, but this is still pretty insane.

I would have thought that some Miami class in the early 2000s would be in the discussion, but it turns out they were all top heavy and spread out over about four years. 2004 is the best example: #5 Sean Taylor: RIP, could have been a Hall of Famer. #6 Kellen Winslow: Injuries and Browns ruined him, but he still somehow got a Pro Bowl bid. #12 Jonathan Vilma: Multiple Pro Bowler, Super Bowl champ #17 DJ Williams: Longtime high-level starter, stunning he didn't get even an alternate Pro Bowl bid. #19 Vernon Carey: Probably the weakest on this list, but still an eight-year starter #21 Vince Wilfork: Excellent nose tackle for his whole career.
That's six players in the top 21...but then Miami didn't have any more picks until three 7th rounders. Some people thought the Chargers got a steal at tackle with super-recruit Carlos Joseph near the very end, but the actual steal they got was Shane Olivea...from Ohio State.
God, i can't even hate on the Patriots. That was unbelievable. I want to hate them but how? Why? I was in shock how much of a beating they took the first half.
