If Baines is in, Edgar deserves to be in.

So, I guess Fred McGriff and Andrew Jones are getting in now. Dale Murphy with a couple of early 80's MVP's.

If Baines is in, literally hundreds of overlooked players deserve to be in.

I like to judge Hall of Fame players in any sport by how much of a draw they were or how much they are talked about by future generations. Has anyone bragged to their kid, "Your old man once saw Harold Baines play in a game"?

No name strikes fear into the heart of opposing pitchers like the name Harold Baines.

Lemme dig into his career stats, and isolate his prime years stats. I’ll get back to you.

Could play several more years as a reliever potentially.

To be fair it was a quick conversation about Eli.

Eli Manning is just Brad Johnson or Trent Dilfer, with two rings instead of one. His defenses won for him.

Not first ballot. Never quite dominant enough, only one Cy and his handful of top five finishes all came in the same 5-6 year span. But he's got 2500 strikeouts and a perfect game so he'll probably get in with that eventually.

I think Eli gets in; maybe not first ballot, but he will eventually. More than any other league, I think the NFL values big moments and memorable games when it comes to HOF resumes. Those two playoff runs and the giant-killing Super Bowls are going to carry a lot of weight.

King Felix: nah.
