The more I read about it, the more I think the Chargers really can't stay in S.D. It really doesn't make financial sense for them.

That's something that's existed for years for historical purposes. The Raiders also have one as well.

Apparently the NFL would waive relocation fees if Davis moved to S.A. That's gotta be enticing for Davis.

I guess that's because he'd have to move into the Alamodome while working out logistics for a permanent home between Austin and S.A.

I guess you're referring to this:

Even if there is a relocation fee, it would surely be much less than the $550M estimated for LA. Enticing indeed.

I'm guessing Jerry wouldn't be happy.

I think Bob McNair would be even more unhappier. At least Jerry has a national following to back him up in case he loses a few fans in Texas.

So how many teams will be in LA next year? I'm thinking two--the NFL will somehow try to keep the Rams in St. Louis, but will happily move the other 2.
I'm torn on this--I want the Raiders out the Bay Area, but I also do not want them to leave the AFC West.
Surely, they'd move the Chargers out of the AFC West right? The rivalry with Denver and KC is too big to eliminate.
As I figured, the Broncos likely agreed.

And apparently Clark Hunt was the only member of the LA committee to not endorse the Carson project. Guess he was right to not endorse.

I would guess there are very few Texans fans in San Antonio. I lived there in the Warren Moon Oilers days and there were virtually no Oilers fans. It was all Cowboys and Raiders.

Someone should move to Detroit. You don't even have to win to have a big fan base Like ever.

As an SC alum, the idea of going to see a real NFL game in the Coliseum is kinda fun. Hopefully I can get down there when the Seabags visit. Pete Carroll back on the sideline in the Coliseum will be cool.

Unless the Seahawks win the Super Bowl, Seahawks at Rams seems to be perfect for the late MNF game that Western teams always get stuck in.

I like this move by the Rams to L.A.

Good for the Seahawks = Shorter road trip.

Good for me = I like having another excuse to visit friends down there.

Bad for St. Louis? = Too bad, that fucking stadium sucks.

I don't quite understand the need for the Chargers to move, though. From everything I can tell they have great fans, and what is wrong with San Diego?

As for the Raiders... I'd GTFO of Oakland as soon as possible under any circumstances whatsoever.

san diego does have good fans but only 1/3 of them show up to games...every road team that plays there is basically a home game for them
