Watch the qualifying on Saturdays, they talk a lot about strategy. Then when you watch race on Sunday you have a better idea of what's going on. Only races every two weeks though, so read up on some recent news or something.
Also, cheer for the Haas team out of Charlotte. They are doing pretty well for their first year on the circuit.
