why though? What is there to hate? He's confident, has fun, and is nice to kids.

Celebrating every first down as if it's never happened before.

Naming his kid "Chosen."

Riiiight, because Cam Newton is the first guy ever to celebrate every first down. EVERY PLAYER IN THE NFL DOES THIS.

I think my use of *every* is accurate while your use of *every* is haphazard.

My 2 cents.

Ok, fair point. But do you single out Cam for this? Or do you hate when other players do it to?

A quick point upfield, fine. A slow, drawn out point with that cheesy grin, aggravating.

Anyone who names their kid "Chosen" lives in another plane of reality and I would never want to spend any time with them. Would you?

All that said, despite his unbearable personality, I would take him on my team because he is an amazing player. One of a kind. It's all about winning. There are plenty of other players on any given sports team that you can be a fan of, both as a person and as a player. If I were a Panthers fan I would be proud to have a guy like Thomas Davis on my team, he seems like a solid dude (from what little I've seen).

As a Mariners fan I would love to see Robinson Cano drive in the winning run of World Series game 7. But I will never be a Cano "fan" because of, again, his unbearable personality and on field demeanor.

id take a guy who names his kid chosen than a guy who peddles a drink as preventing concussions because of its bubbles

Russell Wilson's personality, if we're gonna discuss him now, seems just as unbearable. But he, too, wins.

They were both elite-level throws, lenny.

Jameis Winston made his first appearance with three minutes to go in the third quarter. Winston’s first completion was a 53-yard touchdown, the longest score of the night. In the fourth quarter he hooked up with Houston WR DeAndre Hopkins for a seven-yard score. By the final whistle, Jameis Winston had six completions for 113 passing yards and two scores.

Cam Newton would have won it had he been there.

Brett Favre is going to be elected to the NFL Hall of Fame this week. The last QB inducted?
Never would have guessed it was Warren Moon.

There was a real dearth of new HOF QBs in the late 90s/early 2000s. I remember thinking at one point that Peyton & Brady were going to be it from that time.

I just breezed past an article calling Russell Wilson the corniest player in the NFL.

Truer words have never been spoken.
