Since we're in the sports forum, one of my most noted memories was when he criticized us in the mock draft one year when we let Jimmy Clausen slip to 38th overall, thinking he should have gone higher. Then, in reality, he went 48th overall.

he was pretty much angry all the time
He and LW had numerous lengthy debates in N&D. I think it got so angry one time that someone split off posts into a thread entitled "Two Marines Compare Penis Size".

One of my absolute favorite RM memories.
i'd totally forgotten about that one, but yeah, really good one.
I feel a little more comfortable believing that he got duped, by this Tuiasusopo kid and a few people that were in on it, he told a bunch of small lies to his family and friends about his "girlfriend", told the same lies to ESPN and other news outlets and never thought he'd be called out on it because he thought it was real.
Before I ever met 1 nad short in person I certainly told people I already had. It was just easier that way.

We also had an argument where he basically said the running game is meaningless, and then his own team (the Texans) largely made the playoffs for the first time based on their awesome running game.

This is really one of my new pet peeves regarding the NFL, the people who say that it's all about passing. Counterexample #1: Philip Rivers after Tomlinson left town.
I think it has a lot to do with how defenses were reacting to all the passing. GB won a Super Bowl largely on the strength of their nickel package and being able to play "small" and other teams (the Eagles, the Falcons) tried to emulate that. To counter that teams like the Texans, 49ers and Seahawks have started to trend back towards their personnel being as big as possible. Last playoffs we saw the same team that had had so much success playing a base nickel D (the Packers) get absolutely manhandled trying to line up against a 49ers team with everyone on the field being 250+ lbs at times. I think that's one reason TEs are so in vogue--teams want to have a ton of size on offense and still have everyone be able to catch the ball on any down.
