Dolphins plan to cut Suh.

Is this a big deal down there? I feel like he hasn't been relevant the past couple of years, but can't say I've paid attention to Miami football much.

I mean he hasn't been relevant because Miami hasn't been relative. I think he's been exactly what any reasonable person should have expected. He absorbs double teams almost every play and has still been a decent playmaker in spite of that. But he hasn't been next level amazing. There haven't been that many amazing highlight reel type of plays, and the defense hasn't been any good because even when he's getting double teamed our LBers are awful and don't make plays, and our defensive line has been mostly pedestrian with occasional bursts of greatness.

I know he has complained at times about the scheme because his job has basically been to occupy two blockers.

Idk. Same old Dolphins. Same awful front office. Yawn.

Even if they make him a post june 1 cut, how much dead money is that???? Seems like it would be almost as much as he would be playing for no?

I'd like to see what he could do next to Grady Jarrett and keeping blockers off of Deion Jones for a year.

Lifelong Dolphins fan here... this may be the first off-season I have little to no hope. I hope some of these moves pan out and they have some success in the draft but it's not looking good... Why do they keep signing players past their primes?

One of the greatest endings to a football game ever.. place went bonkers last night!!

I don't think I've ever seen a multi lateral NFL game winner with no time left

That was absolutely incredible. Basically the Dolphins won the Super Bowl yesterday and didn't even have to make the playoffs to do it. That was unreal. I just kept rewatching it over and over and it kept making me smile. Sports doesn't have that effect on me very often anymore.

That game against the Jags was depressing AF... not that they would've made the playoffs anyway...

I'd be glad to move on from Tannehill and Gase.

It's hard to imagine a 7-9 team being much worse than the Dolphins are. Would have been better if they completely bottomed out and got a good draft pick for next year, but at least there were a few great moments this season.

I think in a different set of circumstances Tannehill could have actually been a pretty good QB, but it's definitely time to move on. Sucks that the idiots in the front office restructured his previously super team friendly deal this offseason because now it'll create a bunch of dead money to cut him, but whatever. We need a complete tear down.

Please, please, please fire Mike Tannenbaum. It all starts with him.

Post subject:  Re: the miami dolphins

Reports say Tannenbaum is definitely out and that Gase is coaching for his life on Sunday.

I'd be fine blowing up the whole thing and starting completely over. Seems like every time this happens Ross keeps somebody around and puts them in a forced marriage with the leftovers and it hasn't worked out too well yet, so maybe just get rid of everybody all at once this time.

Yeah, Gase had moments of shine but it seems he has just as many head-scratchers to go alone with em... His press-conferences are very uncomfortable.. he seems in over his head. He may be good as an assistant coach somewhere, but I believe his head coaching days are over. I'm not even sure what Tannenbaum's job entails but whichever person(s) mostly responsible for the lack of depth and unpreparedness along the offensive line especially needs to go. It's probably everyone. Grier seems cool, though, again... I'm not sure what he's responsible for really so I don't even know...

Who will coach the dolphins? I'm actually pulling for Darren Rizzi. Just need good oc and DC to go with him.
