The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
I just hope they go back to a classic font for the numbers.

I think that logo is probably it. The team CEO was on the radio yesterday and said that the new logo would have sun and a dolphin. He said the idea is for the logo to be modernized, but to go to a classic color scheme. Seeing as those are the same exact colors we have now, I'm not really sure what that means. He also said this is not going to be like Tampa Bay going from bright orange to pewter.

Earlier today on Yahoo, one of their trending phrases was "Jets collide in Miami". The first thing that came to my mind is that Mark Sanchez repeated his run-in with Brandon Moore's butt while playing the Dolphins.
on the old board someone said at best tannehill could be as good as flacco
id gladly take that
Scarily, Bill Simmons might've said it best:

(In other words, a QB that gains and loses your trust 10 times during the course of an NFL season, then inexplicably gets better when it matters.)
Jets fans have to hate the Pats more than the Dolphins, right?
Well, that's tricky, it really depends on the age of the Jets Fan. I lived through the fake spike, marino buring us so many times. I hate the dolphins more then any other team in my division, or in any other sport. But I think they should keep the same logo.

But Brady and the Pats have buried them plenty of times as well. The huge additional difference, however, are things like Belichick resigning from the Jets and taking coaches and executives with him to the Pats, and the Eric Mangini feud. This is a huge reason why I hate the Raiders more than the Chiefs or Chargers even though those two teams have been far more of a competitive equal to the Broncos in recent years--because of the Shanahan/Al Davis feud. Did Dolphins/Jets ever get to that kind of level?
I think Dolphins/Jets is more of a fan rivalry than the performance of the teams. Miami mostly owned the Jets for the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Then in the 00s the Jets owned the Dolphins. In the 90s the Bills were the team that tormented the Dolphins year in and year out, but the Jets have always been my most hated team. I'd root for the Pats over the Jets in the AFC Championship game if that gives you an idea. Down here we are flooded with unbearably loud mouth obnoxious Jets fans. Even if there are other teams throughout sports that it'd be rational to hate more, the Jets have always had, and I'd assume will always hold the honor of being my most despised team.

Do you feel that a geographic culture clash plays a big role? I could see how the Miami and New York styles wouldn't mesh well (though that would also apply to Boston fans, as well). I definitely get that feeling when Cowboys fans duke it out with their East Coast rivals. Here out west that doesn't really factor in, since cities like Denver, the Bay Area, or Seattle really aren't that terribly different in culture. Though, if there was an LA team again, that might change.
