Those were atrocious calls. Both roughing calls were terrible. The PI was holding before the pass but on that same play their OL blatantly held Jaelen Phillips.
Was that where the defense held the offense guy's shirt but totally made it look like the opposite , from the ref's angle?

Idk all three of those were on the same drive. The last one was a PI on Howard which wasn't a horrible call but I thought it was holding before the pass. What was frustrating on that one, besides coming on the heels of ticky tack roughing calls was when they showed the replay from behind the play Phillips was bearing down on Jackson was very obviously held by the OLmen.
But hey they actually went and did it. Great game from the defense. The schedule has a handful of cupcakes left maybe they can end the season in the right direction.

Yeah those PI calls were baffling but hey a win is a win. It's hard not to think that at least one or two of those close losses against the Raiders, Jags, or Falcons would have gone the other way if Tua was out there. *shrug*
Also, belated shout out to Will Fuller whose one contribution this season was dropping the game winning TD in OT at Vegas.

Idk he looks about the same to me. He's dealing with the finger so maybe that's limiting him from being more aggressive, but maybe not. Idk. He mostly plays fine with 1 or 2 horrendous throws mixed in each week. He's very accurate on short stuff, gets the ball out quickly, doesn't take many sacks, stands in against pressure. But also doesn't do anything special almost ever. And it seems glaringly obvious the last two weeks that this coaching staff doesn't trust him at all.

I like him but he definitely has a lot of room to grow. He has heart and is fun to root for. I think his ceiling is pretty high. Needs a better o line to show much improvement.
I'm absolutely still rooting for him. I think he's gotten a raw deal so far and he seems like a good guy and I'd love to see him succeed. He's by no means a bust like some people are acting like but I was also pretty open that my expectation was an elite level QB and unfortunately he hasn't shown a lot of signs of that, but he's been playing in the middle of a dumpster fire so who knows. I really hope that he plays well enough over the next 6 weeks that we all have to sit here and wonder if maybe he can be elite if he's not playing behind the worst o-line in the history of the world.

D rocked again and the offense is finally making progress. Love Tua to Waddle and Holland and Phillips on D. Turning out to be a great 21 draft class.
Yup, the first three picks for sure. And back to back weeks with 80%+ completions for Tua.

I know these last two weeks haven’tbeen against the best teams, but the Fins are finally looking pretty f’n good. That D is amazing, and Tua is finally coming into his own. Probably too late to salvage this season, but I hope this run gives them the confidence to stick it out with this roster/plan. I like this team, so much talent that just needs to be figured out.

I am so happy for my boys lately. Looking forward to another jets smack down Sunday. Sorry mecca. Our defense is downright scary and Tua is making the short passing game and RPOs work. He’s gonna be really great with a better o line and run game one day.
